Pastor 7 Wells accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior while in solitary confinement at USP Atlanta in 1996. Unable to read or write, he requested a Bible upon his release from solitary confinement and supernaturally began to read. Since the Word of God is alive and active (Hebrews 4:12), the rest is history. Now a completely sold-out, on-fire, uncompromising child of God, he lays his life down daily for those who cannot pay him back. As a homeless runaway since age 10, he had built his life around crime, centered on drugs, firearms, money laundering and the mafia. This lifestyle is the basis of his testimony that God can and will use ANYONE. Having never before felt love, His Father in heaven poured out His love into that solitary confinement cell, where no man could take the credit. With no preacher, no evangelist, no literature and never being raised in the church, God Himself came down and forever changed his heart. Now he shares this love with everyone he meets, especially the homeless in the streets of Atlanta.

A Short Story of the Power of God - By Pastor 7

Hi, my name is Pastor 7 Wells and I take walks in the city of Atlanta. This may sound like something many people do, but the difference is that I walk under bridges, in the woods, around railroad tracks and in the graveyards. I am looking for the last, the lost and the least. You see, I know that they are souls who have made a few bad mistakes in their lives. They are a lost treasure that belongs to God but has been rejected by man. I am talking about the people who live on the streets. Family, friends and even churches have given up on these beautiful souls.

My brothers and sisters in the streets used to be the forgotten harvest, but not anymore thanks to my Daddy, the Almighty God! I have made so many friends on the streets of Atlanta. I love them all so much and so many love me. I mean really love me! Not like some I know that say they do. I make sure they have food to eat and water to drink, but most of all I make sure they hear the Truth- The Gospel of Jesus Christ, so they can be set free from the mistakes they have made! My spiritual son Cody once told me, "I might not like where I am, but I thank God I'm not where I was." "Wow!" is what I thought to myself. I am not the most educated man you might meet, but with what I have I desire to love them and tell them about Jesus so they can find treasure in heaven, just like I have. What we have on earth is not going to do us any good when the Lord comes, and it doesn't take much education to understand that, now does it?

All we need to do is read Mark 10:21. Jesus talked with a rich man who asked how to inherit eternal life. Jesus said, "-sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow me."  Jesus wasn't teaching that we must give up our wealth to be acceptable to Him, for we can never earn eternal life by our works. It is only by faith; believing with all of our heart. Jesus was simply showing the rich man that his heart was focused on his wealth and not on Jesus. Do we have the same problem as individuals or even as churches? This is a question worth pausing to consider.

Let me tell you what I have found: both our wealthy and our homeless friends have more in common that we can see or imagine. In the eyes of God, both can be spiritually lacking a right relationship with Him. Think about it- we are all lacking if Jesus isn't first in our lives. No good deed(s) can earn eternal life. Not helping the homeless, or even selling everything you have and giving it to the poor! Jesus wants one thing, our hearts. Then, and only then, will we have real treasure - treasure in Heaven. And this treasure cannot be stolen or destroyed.

When God truly has our hearts, we will want to do what Matthew 25 says: to help the last, the lost and the least. This is why I desire to go out and befriend the alcoholics, drug addicts, prostitutes, drug dealers, pimps and the incarcerated. I want to do what Jesus did. In the Bible, Jesus spent more time "outside" of the walls of the church than He did inside. He went to find the last, the lost and the least. He did not wait for them to come to Him. The only times the Bible talks about Jesus "inside" the church was when He went to give them a piece of His mind and proclaim the Truth!

I invite you to join me as a giver- a giver of love. Freely we received, so freely we must give. Jesus went to the cross for each one of us, we should take up our cross for others.

My prayer is that all of my brothers and sisters will open their eyes to Jesus and will do as He did. Becoming Christlike should be our number one priority. Everything we have on this earth will not be going with us when Jesus comes, and He is coming! In 1 Thessalonians 5:2 it says: "For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night." KJV. So I pray that you would make use of what you have now to help the last, the lost and the least. Don't wait until tomorrow, for it may never come, as we are not promised tomorrow. Live for today, for it is given to us by His grace alone.

Please join me to prepare these lost souls to be saved. They are prepared through prayer, by giving them unconditional love and by meeting their basic needs such as food, water and clothing. As they build trust in us and in the realness of God, they will make the decision to come off the streets and go into spiritual recovery. I have seen so many souls come off the street and learn who God is, and who He created them to be. But there are so many more that need to be rescued.

In Matthew 9:37 it says: "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few" KJV, and in Matthew 10:16 it says: "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves." KJV If the body of Jesus came together, we could change the world! Drug dealers would have no customers, we could close down the "triple X" book stores, etc. We can take back what has been stolen from so many!

Yes, I do believe in my heart that it is time to be warriors, not soldiers. When the battle is hot, a soldier may retreat. But a warrior will stand no matter what. We must all come together and do what the Book of Life tells us to do. We must be united in Christ, bring our lives in balance, and learn to lean more on God.

My friends and brothers & sisters in Christ, let us find this love that God teaches us about in the Bible. God's very nature is love. God is love! And as He tells us in John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." KJV Does any more need to be said? It's not about us, it's all about Jesus. We need to give of ourselves as he gave, so the gospel can be heard.

I have found something in my life that cannot be taken away from me. I have found my Daddy! It is my goal to share this with all the souls I can while I have life in my body. I will do what I can today, trust not in my own understanding, but in the Lord Himself-with all of my heart, all of my mind and all of my strength.

So I am asking you to prayerfully consider coming together with us in Jesus' Name to proclaim the Truth to the last, the lost and the least on the streets of Atlanta and beyond. May God richly bless you as you seek Him and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in this and every matter in your life!

Love from your friend and brother in Christ,

Pastor 7 Wells

Matthew 9:35-38: "And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest."

Matthew 10:7-8: "And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." KJV

Matthew 5:16: "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." KJV

1 John 3:16-18: "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth." KJV
