Sept 18, 2016: Situation with Pastor 7 and Prayer Needed

Thank you for the abundance of love we have received over the last few days. We feel your prayers and have a peace that is beyond comprehension.  We wanted to help answer some of the questions you have and tell you what we know so far.

Basically, an accusation was made about an alleged incident that occurred three years ago. In the State of Georgia you don’t have to produce evidence in this type of case before an arrest is made. Pastor 7 has been arrested and he is awaiting a Probable Cause hearing and Bond hearing to be held before a judge in the next few weeks. We firmly believe this is a false accusation and are praying that the truth will prevail. We trust that God is sovereign and even though this has taken us by surprise, it did not catch God by surprise. He will be glorified and bring good from this entire situation.

In the meantime, we continue to run the ministry as usual.  God and Pastor 7 would want it this way. Street outreach will continue each Monday night for Bike Night and Saturdays for all. Regular activities are resuming for our residents and we are still welcoming in volunteers. We will have church on Sunday at 10:30 and all are welcome to join.

Many of you have asked how you can help right now. Prayer is the biggest thing. We need wisdom and direction and just want to see God in all of this. We desire to be unified like the disciples in Acts who were waiting for their friends in jail being persecuted. Pray for the family making these accusations as our hearts break for them and we desire them to see God through this process.  Pray that our faith would remain strong and that we would hold onto God’s promises. Pray that we would continue to proclaim and live the fact that we are  “Blessed and Highly Favored!”

We also would love for you to come and join us. There is healing through serving.  As we see people stepping in to serve and love, we see the enemy become defeated. There are 130 residents here who still need encouragement, laughter, and hope. There are friends on the streets that need to hear the gospel and receive a hug. There are meals that need to be provided for and donations can still be brought by anytime. As usual, we would be grateful for anything you use in your household, just multiplied by 130 (i.e. toilet paper, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, new underwear, etc.) As we come together we will prove that what the enemy has meant for evil, God can turn it around for good.

Again, we are so grateful for you. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Thanks for praying. Thanks for coming around and showing your love. We have been so humbled by the multitude of family that has rallied around us. We will remain victorious and steadfast. We will keep you posted as we know more. Until then, have a BLESSED & HIGHLY FAVORED rest of your day!

In Christ with Love,

The 7 Bridges Crew
