Want to serve?
There are currently over 21,000 homeless in Atlanta alone and only 3000 beds that are available and shelters are closing down daily due to lack of funds. The need is great and it is our job as the Church to care for the poor, not the government’s.
Join us as we love God’s children on the streets of Atlanta.
Together, we can end homelessness with the love of Christ!
Prayer
We are desperate for prayers.
We go beyond the front lines into the enemy’s territory, rescuing God’s children back from the bondage they are in.
It is hard and messy and physically exhausting work but God continues to provide us strength and to qualify us for the tasks He calls us to do.
Please join us in praying for supernatural love for others.
Love is the power used against Satan and we want to love others more.
Pray that God will break our hearts for what breaks His.
Please pray for discernment to know what is best for these men and women and for wisdom in dealing with so many broken lives.
Please pray for resources to reach more people and more laborers to join us.
Please pray that we will decrease as He increases in our lives every day.
Please pray for the city of Atlanta and for our State and World leaders.
Please pray that the Church will be united – regardless of denomination – and will believe the Word of God is true.
Finally, please pray we will be obedient, no matter what the cost and that we will see His Kingdom come now as it is in Heaven!
At the Garden
We serve our 125 residents three meals a day, every day of the week. We have no budget and no set menu and we never know where food is coming from so we rely on God to provide, each and every day.
You can help serve a meal or prepare and serve a meal.
Lunch starts at 12:00 pm and dinner at 5 pm every day, both start with a Bible Study.
You need to call ahead or email us before coming to serve a meal.
You can come and bring crafts/activities for our residents, participate in worship services, help sort donations, drive our residents to medical appointments or simply build relationships with our residents through prayer and love. Send us an email at 7bridgesmissions@gmail.com and we’ll find a date for you to serve.
Every Friday night at 7PM we make 600 meals for Saturday’s ministry on the streets and we invite small groups, families and individuals to join us! There is NO RSVP required for this service opportunity.
If you or your group have a special gift or talent, we would love to get you connected in the ministry .
Simply call 678-430-3698 or send an email to 7bridgesmissions@gmail.com to get more information about how you can serve.
All ages are welcome to serve with us. We love it when families serve together and welcome anyone from age 0 to 100 to the Garden!
We encourage you to come and see what God is doing in Atlanta.
You’ll be a blessing and receive a blessing in return.
Saturday Ministry
We hit the streets of Atlanta every Saturday with over 700 meals – rain or shine – using the meals as our means to share the love of Jesus and talk with them about surrendering to Christ.
We meet at 12:00, noon, at The Garden:
2840 Plant Atkinson Road
Atlanta, GA 30339
We circle-up, pray and give out instructions for the day and then break into two teams:
one under the bridges and one to the Bluff. We hand out lunches and ask to pray with each person we touch and then we give them a HUG. Whether they’re living under a bridge or an abandoned home or crack apartment, the need is the same: Jesus.
Volunteers travel in a caravan – driving their own vehicles – following one of our ministry vans as they go to the various locations around the city.
We usually finish and are back to the Garden by 5pm but if you need to leave earlier, just let us know!
Bike Night
Do you have a motorcycle and want to serve the homeless?
Each MONDAY evening we load up saddlebags and backpacks with bag lunches and head under the bridges to feed and share Christ with those in need.
We meet at 4:45 pm at
2840 Plant Atkinson Road
Atlanta, GA 30339
and leave promptly at 5pm.
Come and join us whenever you can! There’s NO need to RSVP!
Please contact us phone phone or email at 7bridgesmissions@gmail.com to get more information.
We welcome families, churches, schools and businesses.
Mission Trips
We love hosting teams from all over the world for mission trips into the streets of Atlanta. We begin hosting teams from all over the United States in May and have teams going into the streets EVERY week of the summer until mid-August. Every person that comes will get a real mission trip experience: learning how to be the hands and feet of Jesus, without heading overseas or spending lots of money to make it happen! We can host 1-7 day trips. Mission teams can sleep in the sanctuary at the Garden, bringing sleeping bags and/or air mattresses. Each day (Monday through Thursday) the teams will go under the bridges and into the Bluff with the men in our discipleship program – feeding, praying with, and loving those who are in need. Teams will return back to the Garden each evening where they will have opportunities to minister to the residents. All ages and team sizes are welcome. We can house up to 50 people at the Garden and take up to 150 people into the streets each day, Monday through Thursday. We typically host teams during the week and allow our men a chance to rest on Fridays but would be happy to talk with you about a weekend team, if needed. Please contact us at 7bridgesmissions@gmail.com for more details and available dates. We book-up for the Summer by mid-April, so don’t wait until the last minute to schedule your team.
Additional Information
Dress/Attire
If you wish to join us on the streets, please wear comfortable clothing with closed-toed shoes as the bridges can be slippery.
You don’t need to bring anything except a heart to serve.
However, if you wish to help provide lunches, please contact us through phone or email.
We recommend that you dress in layers – the weather in Atlanta can range from the low 30’s in Winter to the high 90’s in the Summer.
Hygiene items and socks are also great blessings to those we are serving and you are welcome to bring those as well. Simply let one of our staff missionaries know that you’ve brought them and they’ll help you determine the best places to hand them out.
All ages are welcome to participate and we encourage families to serve together but we recommend that anyone under the age of 18 be accompanied by an adult, one-on-one.
Non-Monetary Donations
Donations are not required to join us on the streets, but they are appreciated.
If you want to bring food, blankets, hygiene kits, clothing or other items, please check our Donate page for more info on this.
We always need bologna, bottled water and baggies.
Please let us know at least 72 hours in advance if you are planning to bring food. (We want to be good stewards of our resources so we’ll make fewer meals if your team is planning to supplement).
Hearts of Love
Please come prepared to serve our brothers and sisters in the streets.
While we do bring food, clothing and other necessities to them, the most important thing we bring is JESUS CHRIST. The Love of Christ, Prayer and the WORD of GOD are what will have an eternal impact on their lives.
